Kenya and South Sudan Maintain Cordial Diplomatic Relations
Kenya and South Sudan signed an agreement formally establishing diplomatic relations in September 2011. At the bilateral front, Kenya and South Sudan renewed their diplomatic relations at different levels.
The inaugural Joint Commission for Cooperation (JCC) took place on 27th to 30th June 2019 and followed by High Level and Senior Government Officials visits between the two countries. The JCC established Bilateral engagements in various fields at different levels including education, environment, peace and security among others.
The diplomatic relations between Kenya and South Sudan are consistent with Kenya’s Foreign Policy
