The Ambassador, during the introductory meeting with the leadership of the Kenya Diaspora Association (KDA), called on the KDA team to enhance collaboration with the Embassy as the duo, engages the Kenya Diaspora in respective capacities. He also requested the team, as they share with the Kenyans Diaspora, to observe the laws of the host country. He noted that the Embassy will continue to support the Kenyans in South Sudan, where necessary. He acknowledged the importance of Diaspora in the home country and hence the State Department for Diaspora Affairs was formed to enhance Kenya Diaspora engagement on various matters of Diaspora development.
On the other hand, the Diaspora team was appreciative of the meeting and noted to work in collaboration with the Embassy in addressing various matters of concern for the benefit of Kenyans in South Sudan.
