The Ambassador attends The Kenya Police Medal Parade at UNMISS

H.E Amb. Samuel Nandwa delivering his keynote speech

On 7th March, 2023 H.E Amb. Samuel Nandwa attended the Kenya Police Contingent Medal Parade ceremony held at UN House, Juba; in which 17 police officers (4 women and 13 men) were awarded with medals and certificates for their contribution to the UN Mission in South Sudan. The guests of honor in attendance included H.E Ambassador Samuel Nandwa, UNMISS Police Commissioner Christine Fossen and the Chief Guest was Acting Deputy SRSG Mr. Meshack Malo. The Contingent Commander Millicent Alambo also delivered a keynote speech on behalf of the Inspector General of Police Kenya.

In his speech, the Ambassador congratulated the officers and thanked them for flying the Kenyan flag high across their various stations in Juba, Bentiu, Malakal, Bor, Aweil and Wau. The Ambassador also highlighted Kenya’s continued support towards peacekeeping efforts within the region, in order to maintain a peaceful and conducive environment for trade and development to thrive.
